Stuff and things

So I am toying around with stuff. It seems that my web host (http://www.doteasy.com/) has added a few cool features to it's service, like email forms, etc. So I think I want to toy around with that. I sort of want to get a BBS (Forum) up and running too, but I can't decide on which one to run. I was going to use phpBB (http://www.phpBB.com/) on my freeshell (http://sdf.lonestar.org/) account (http://jumex.sdf1.org/), but I haven't the foggiest idea how to set up the database stuff. So I am searching for something more basic, but still cool.

I also want to figure out how to get procmail up and working so I can start filtering my spam away, I guess it's about time to start RTFMan files...

So, I have beaten Chrono Trigger for the PSX, that was good times, and now I am playing Chrono Cross, it's pretty fun. Dealer Dave is letting me borrow his copy.

I was talking with Frank (http://www.livejournal.com/~burto) about learning some Java. Honestly I haven't programmed in a few months. I just am not into it right now, but I know I need to be. Doh!

So, I'm regularly in IRC now too (through Trillian, http://www.trillian.cc/), if you want to chat (on EFnet or irc.logh.net) just /msg me. I'm either jumexHome or jumexWork depending on where I am. I'm (of course) on all the others too, AIM:trevmex, ICQ:9245144, MSN:trevor_iambic@hotmail.com, Yahoo:jumex0.

Oh, Frank, check out http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Training/PerlIntro/. It seems like a pretty cool Perl tutorial.

Judy and Kel, you guys ROCK! Ai'te, I'm outta 'ere!

Nothing, just wanted to mention you guys.

You know what's weird? I had a dream with you in it. It was you and me and your family and Judy all going on vacation on this tropical island and we had a hotel room and we went down to the beach where the car (a Suburban, I have no idea why) was parked and we hung out. Wackiness insued.

      It was weird.
  • I need to learn JSP and Servlets further. As well as J2ME. Then perhaps some of the new 2D/3D library stuff.

Then, I'll never have to leave this Java womb that I'm in.
