I found a new car! After researching and test driving, I found one that I absolutely LOVE. I brought it home Tuesday night. It's a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT Turbo, in "Inferno Orange" paint with black and dark gray interior. You may not have seen many Chevy Sonics on the road (I haven't seen any!) but you may know it as the car from the OK Go video:



The car drives like an absolute dream and just has everything I could possibly want. The turbo engine accelerates like WHOA, but it still gets awesome mileage and it's very eco-friendly. It got AWESOME safety ratings. The layout and design of everything is just gorgeous. There's no other way to put it. I've never been a "car person" but the design of the Sonic really, really appeals to me. Something about the Sonic is very retro and sci-fi at the same time, and I adore that.

Anyway, as you can tell, I am totally in love. :) I have named the car Buster, after my favorite ballplayer, Giants catcher Buster Posey. Like his namesake, Buster is cute, all-American, fast, agile, he rocks the orange and black, and he's all about protecting home plate. Er, me. Okay, the metaphor kinda fell apart, but you get it.





The pictures don't do the paint justice...it shimmers in the sun and looks anywhere from tangerine orange to deep red-orange, depending on the angle you look at it.
