Weather: Sunny Plan: Akagi JHS

I got an Xbox 360 from my Dad in the U.S. yesterday, but something inside it got broken during shipping so I can't play any games. I emailed tech support, but it probably won't help at all. On top of all that, that Shimane JETs! Website is broken too. What a pain in the rear end. The good news today is that the 9th graders at Akagi Junior High School voted me the most popular teacher of their class. Thanks you guys! I love the 9th graders!

  • 'Tis the time for electronic problems. I'm having issues as well. Hang in there! You a smart CS guy so I know you can fix the site...but the xbox may be problematic. Are they still having supply issues with it? I know someone had problems with thiers back in Dec, and Microsoft gave them a three month estimate to get it replaced.

It's great to see that the 9th graders love you. My sis is teaching HS here in the US and having a tough time with some off the students.
    • It looks like I'll have to call their tech support line, much to my irritation. I frosee it being a big problem, i.e. "Why do you have a U.S. Xbox 360 in Japan? blah blah blah")

I didn't start out having a good relationship with the kids, it took years to work up to this. What is your sister teaching? Russian?
      • Unfortunately it's not Russian. I believe she is teaching history. She is student teaching as the last section of getting her teaching credentials, after which she wants to teach at a private school. She still practices her Russian now and then. She met a group of Russians through an old family friend and they get together once a month to talk and cook so she doesn't get too rusty.
