Journal for 2005-7-19 Tue..
Weather: Sunny   Plan: Akagi JHS

Today was the first day of summer vacation at the JHS, but I still have to work there everyday. I don't have any classes, so I am able to study various subjects throughout the day. I finished up writing out and studying the US Constitution most of the day today. Since I am done with that I have started on writing out and studying the 27 amendments of the US Constitution. I got through the Bill of Rights, which is the first 10 amendments, today!

  • heh, I'm guessing this was by design, but I just noticed the last nine on-readings were shi. I knew there was a lot of overlap on on-readings but I've yet to examine it too closely. It's probably the most intimidating part of Kanji to me.
    • Good observation. I am actually taking the kanji from the Kanji Power Handbook for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (ISBN4-87234-314-X) and I am typing them out in order (from a to wa) and I am also going by grade level, so from 安 to 話 was the 4th level of the JLPT, and now we are about a little less than halfway through the 3rd level test kanji.

I'm glad that you are following along. It makes me feel that what I am doing is worth it. :)
