Journal for 2005-7-27 Wed..
Weather: Sunny   Plan: Akagi JHS

I finished studying the US Constitution today! I wrote it all out by hand. After each part, I wrote notes about that part. I wrote out 43 pages and 1 page of unratified amendments (there have been 6 so far) in all! Now, I am studying the Presidential Cabinet. Since I studied Government all day, I neglected practicing Japanese. I am going to study Japanese as well for sure tomorrow!

  • Good job Trevor. I don't think i would have made it past the school house rock version of "I'm just a bill..." let alone the whole constitution and the legislative process. Keep it up and Gambatte!
    • Thanks! I'm going to do my best on the Foreign Service Written Exam in April, but I don't really hold high hopes for it. They only pick about 200 people out of over 10,000 that take the test every year and over 75% of the accepted people have masters degrees or higher. And that only gets you on a two year waiting list.

Regardless, I'm going to keep on trying, and stay here in Japan doing teaching jobs until the day I do get picked up by the Foreign Service.

What have you been up tp lately? Still in antiques?
      • Wow, that sounds pretty imposing. Still, I think you have a pretty good shot at it.
I'm still in antiques, but i've slowly been putting a translation company together. hopefully i can get the licensing taken care of this week and actually get the project moving in august. we've got a rough draft of a homepage up at www.gendaisolutions.com
The hardest part is trying to remember how to use dreamweaver.
        • I'm also debating this design www.gendaisolutions.com/mockuppage2.htm
          • I like the navigation on the side betterm but the rounded edges of the 2nd design would be a nice add-on.
